Same shape, every desk
It is one problem,
wearing eight costumes.
Each desk below is the same walk with different systems in it. That is why
this is a product rather than eight features — and why adding a ninth desk is a change of
route, not a change of architecture.
01 · New business
From first call to a submission that is actually complete
Intake captured, the risk classified, the application built, and the gaps chased before
an underwriter finds them. The walk is between the notes, the class guide and the
application; the account arrives at market ready rather than half-formed.
"Doux, work up the Ironwood account and tell me what is missing."
02 · Quoting & submissions
Every appointed market, not the three you had time for
The walk is across every market's own portal and its own supplemental. Built once, sent
everywhere it fits, chased on a clock, and returned normalised to the same limits and
exclusions so you compare coverage rather than price.
"Send Ironwood to everything that writes framing, and chase at 72 hours."
03 · Certificates
Issued from the contract, not from a guess
The walk is exhibit → policy → forms in force. It reads what the subcontract actually
requires, checks the endorsements truly endorsed, and issues. Holders stay on file so the
book reissues itself at renewal instead of arriving as a week of phone calls.
"Ridgeline needs a cert for Calloway before Monday — handle it."
04 · Endorsements
The right form, ordered and verified
The walk is between what the contract demands and what the policy carries. Doux finds the
gap, orders the correct form through the carrier, reads the change back, and reissues the
certificates that depended on it.
"Does Brightpath's GL actually meet what the GC is asking for?"
05 · Renewals & x-dates
Opened early, with the exposures corrected
The walk is three carrier portals for loss runs, the last audit for payroll, and the
management system for the x-date. The renewal review lands on your calendar before the
incumbent knows it is contested.
"Get me ready for the Henderson renewal."
06 · Cancellations & compliance
Caught while there is still time to fix it
The walk is mailbox → holder list → billing screen. The notice is read the hour it lands,
the exposure is measured, and the reinstatement path is put in front of you with the clock
attached.
"What is exposed if Nine Mile actually cancels?"
07 · Claims intake
Reported inside the hour, not the week
The walk is voicemail → policy in force on the date of loss → carrier's claim intake. The
claim is filed, the number captured, and the insured told what happens next and what not to
touch.
"Halvorsen left a voicemail about water damage — take it from here."
08 · Billing & commission
The small money nobody has time to chase
The walk is the statement against the book, policy by policy. Declined installments
caught before the cancellation notice issues, and the short-paid ones itemised with the
evidence already assembled to dispute them.
"Reconcile last month's statement and show me anything underpaid."
